Welcome to the Chemistry Subject Guide...

This guide has been designed to provide an overview of resources available for the study and research into science based on chemistry. Chemistry is conventionally divided into organic, physical and analytical chemistry.

Find Books

Search Web OPAC to find books available at Library. Though most our collection is in print format, an increasing number of titles are available in electronic format.

E-Books Subject Call Numbers

Many e-books in the Library's collection is listed in Web OPAC, but some titles can only be found by using the e-Books collection websites.

If you are accessing this web site from off-campus, you will need to login to EZproxy.

The call number listed below is based on general Library of Congress subject classifications. These numbers are provided primarily as a browsing tool. This lists is presented as a quick guide to selected subject and call number ranges, and not a comprehensive research tool.

  • Chemistry general        QD7-999
  • Analytical chemistry     QD71-142
  • Inorganic chemistry     QD146-197
  • Organic chemistry        QD241-441
  • Physical and theoretical chemistry   QD450-801
  • Crystallography       Q901-999

Getting Books From Elsewhere

If a book or article is not available in Web OPAC or library, use our Document Delivery Service, to obtain a copy of an article or to borrow a book from another library.

Find Articles

This page indentifies the journal indexes most relevant to Chemistry and provides links to the Library's e-journals page, and how to obtain journal articles.

Related Databases Printed Journals

Use online databases to find journal articles about a subject. Below is a list of databases which are most often used in Chemistry:
